Our Whakapapa
Family Finances Service Trust – Upper Hutt was established in July 2016 as an independent Budgeting Service, to provide Free Confidential Advice to people in Upper Hutt. The Trust took over the governance of the Upper Hutt Budget Advisory Service, which was created in 1978 by the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) Upper Hutt. Family Finances Service Trust – Upper Hutt is an Incorporated Charitable Trust (CC53617).
Our Tangata
A small volunteer board provide governance to the service and set the priorities for the work.
The service is staffed by fully trained Budget Advisors who work with clients in the office in Bradley Lane, Upper Hutt, and in community settings by arrangement.
Our Mahi
Budget Advice with individuals and families, MoneyMates group courses in the community, Presentations and Education to Community Groups, and Liaison work with other social agencies. Family Finances hosts the Upper Valley Community Agencies Network – UVCAN.
